This Louis XVI wall table is signed with the stamp of Jean-Baptiste Boulard (1725-1789). Jean-Baptiste Boulard was a cabinetmaker in Paris and became a master cabinetmaker on april 17, 1755. Early in his career, he made his furniture in the Louis Quinze style. In the year 1777 he entered the service of the king and specialized in the Louis Seize style. He belonged to one of the best Parisian cabinetmakers in the second half of the 18th century. His furniture can be found in the castles of Versailles and Fontainebleau, among others.
