Presumably France, late 18th century.
Contains an almost complete skull wrapped in linen fabric with crown in cloister work, crowned with a dove with in the beak a text band ‘Veni Sponsa Christi’ (come, Bride of Christ). On the four corners of the cabinet a wax seal of the superior general of the Ursulines in Flavigny (FR).
* there are several Ursula legends: the number of companions varies from 11 to 11,000.
Provenance: from an Ursuline Convent, presumably France.
